RECRUITING UPDATE from Conner Recruiting – FEBRUARY 2024


Happy New Year! We are excited to introduce our new website so take a look and give us your feedback. It was a well needed change.

We wanted to update you on our current marketplace recruiting efforts. As you may already know, our network consists of professionals at all levels within the Financial Service industries including Banks, Fintechs, Digital Assets (Special Purpose Depository Institutions), mortgage as well as CPA firms and manufacturing. Finance, accounting and tax related positions within all industries has remained an area of recruiting expertise for our firm for over 25 years.

Although there seems to be a lot of activity in the marketplace, there are many factors to consider.

Market conditions are changing. Many clients are hesitant to add staff when there is uncertainty in the economy and administration nationwide. With market uncertainty, some larger companies are downsizing. Whereas candidates were recently able to dictate compensation expectations, companies are now gaining more control. Flexibility remains key in retaining employees. The hybrid model for the workplace will remain the new norm for management.

Many companies are advertising for future positions, thus harvesting resumes today for “upcoming” positions. Candidates become frustrated when they are told the position is on hold or are not called for an interview that they know they are qualified for.
